The textual assemblage "Borke, die" serves as an initial response to the performance "Unseal the City" which aims to rip up the asphalt in urban space to highlight the ecological importance of soil and its microorganisms.
Morgen ist die Frage.
Heute: Die Stadt
- versiegelt und zugepflastert.
Mit einem Ruck reißen wir das Pflaster ab
- tut kurz weh, muss aber sein.
Wir rupfen den Asphalt raus
- es ist ein Akt radikaler Zärtlichkeit.
Sie liebt mich, sie liebt mich nicht, sie liebt mich
Die Teerbrocken fliegen davon wie die kleinen weißen Blätter vom Gänseblümchen
Jetzt klafft eine dort eine Anti-Wunde
Bruch mit Potential. Steinbruch?
Der erst möglich macht, dass neues wachsen kann
Dass sich Borken bilden und der Boden verheilt
Sind Borken die Antwort?
Zu Ihrer Information: Hier entsteht ein Grünstreifen.
Fahrradstreifen, Fußgängerstreifen - für die paar Menschen die partout nicht Auto fahren wollen.
Aber Grünstreifen
- die heißen nur so weil die Zahl der Steinchen im Asphalt viel höher ist als die der Grashalme. Weil der dunkle Teer die Überhand behält wie das Auto im Straßenverkehr.
Also besser nach Agnes Denes: Hier könnte ein Streifen Schutt liegen (bleiben).

UNSEAL THE CITY - "Statt verriegeln - Stadt entsiegeln"
As part of the program CURA Berlin, the ROH art collective and netzwerk stadtraumkultur eV. dedicate themselves to the topic of unsealing surfaces in urban space. On July 31, 2021, the asphalt floor in the Tamara Danz Höfe will be symbolically broken up in a performance to show that unsealing parking lots or similar fully sealed surfaces can make a positive contribution to the local climate and the emergence of a new urban ecosystem. With the renaturation following the action, this added value can be secured permanently. The action is sponsored by the Trias Foundation and is a collaboration between netzwerk stadtraumkultur e.V., SEV and ROH art collective.
